What LiPO’s do if you treat them badly.

LiPoly batteries are NOT the safest things…

If they are mishandled, by either overcharging or by mechanical damage, they can and will catch fire, virtually exploding and setting fire to things around them.

NEVER charge them unattended.

ALWAYS charge them inside a an old metal or ceramic pot or on concrete.

I have put together a few off the cuff videos on how to build a Nitro Radio Controlled trainer, specifically the World Models Skyraider.

If you have any questions, or need some advice, I would be happy to show you what I have learnt.

My antenna setup

Thought i would test out a new quadcopter frame by flying a camera up to my antenna mast.

The antenna mast has a Diamond X-300 vertical antenna for VHF, and a Diamond BB6W off centre fed horizontal dipole antenna for the HF.

There’s also the skycam taped unceremoniously to the mast.

Late evening flying, the end of the day, the end of the week.

Sometimes if the weather is good I like to go down to the field at the end of the day , at the end of the week. I fly till the sun goes down. It’s quiet and it’s still.
